UC Davis receives $6 million in funding.
On Tuesday, the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP) announced that it had awarded $6 million to the University of Califonia, Davis to research safety improvements for pesticides. Distributed over the course of 5 years, the funding will be used by the Pesticide Educational Resources Collaborative (PERC) to promote safe pesticide usage.
EPA Assistant Administrator for OCSPP Michal Freedhoff said of the project, “This exciting partnership will continue the valuable work that PERC has already been doing for our communities. Through education and outreach, we can ensure we continue to protect human health and the environment from pesticide exposure.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the officials of the EPA as they provide pesticide safety funding.
- That the university’s research would lead to better health and safety regarding pesticides.
- For the president and his administration as they consider the health and wellbeing of citizens.
